The most exciting and loud New Year’s Eve party that I can imagine would include an all day lineup of entertainers. The entertainers would be comedians and singers. Also, there would be fun games such as: raffles, a wheel of fortune, dart games, and Name that Tune(songs from 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s). Prizes like souvenir cups, giant teddy bears, gift cards, and more would be given out to winners. In addition, there would be a wet bar, punch bowls full of spiked eggnog, and a traditional, seafood, and soul food buffet. Additionally, there would be an option for buffet in or buffet to go. Next, the party would take place in a grand ballroom attached or right beside a fancy hotel. The entertainment lineup would include: Lavelle Crawford, Kat Williams, Eddie Griffin, Margaret Cho, Pee Wee Pee-wee Herman, Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey, George Wallace, D.L. Hughley, Patti LaBelle, Freddie Jackson, Anita Baker, El Debarge, Chico Debarge, Al B. Sure!, Christopher Williams, and Sade. The decorations would say, « 2020 & 2021 ». The party would be Soul Train themed, with Disco balls hanging everywhere, from the ceiling to the tops of every dinner table. Also, the other decorations would be spectacular! In addition, there would be a red carpet into the hotel and party. Dysfunctional or not, all of my favorite family members (or just close relatives) would be there. The family babies and older kids would be in a kid’s room, where they have their own little supervised party. Last but not least, the party would wrap up at 2:00 A.M. the next day. Everyone would be dismissed with an option to take more food and drinks to take with them, followed by special New Year’s gifts given to everyone for attending the event (and photo opportunities).
