Cody put his doll on top of his closet shelf.

He was given this doll 21 years to the day, by the local mall’s volunteer elf.

It seemed as if he had the doll forever and a day.

And, he considered it his good luck charm.

That is what his teammates would say.

Cody named the doll Maxine.

She was his cuddly possession.

Little did he know that his feelings for the doll came to life.

As a result, the doll developed feelings of her own.

Her feelings turned into obsession.

The tables began to turn last Thursday at eight.

Cody went on a hot date.

His datesd name was Kate.

That night, Cody’s face began to glow.

He was so excited.

Also, he knew that he needed to put Maxine away.

His personal secret belonged to only him.

No one else needed to know.
